I purchased shocks in the hood along with a fiberglass hood for my 1971 bronco. The problem im having is the hood in flexing when it is closed. The struts are pushing up on it. I dont know if it is a deluxe fiberglass or regular fiberglass hood. I purchased these about four years ago and its been this way since new. Are the steel hood struts weaker than the fiberglass ones? Sorry what i was trying to ask is: Can this unit be used on a Bronco that has the electric 1 wiper motor and the OE 2 speed switch. Since it says the #5301 has HI, LOW plus 3 intermittents if we replace the 2 speed OE switch with the #5301, would it be giving more variation to that Bronco or is it just made for the Bronco owners who have switched from vacuum to electric wipers.
