Being a vertically challenged guy....will the overall height of the hood in the open position be the same height or lower? Love the idea but don't want my hood any higher than what it is already. View answer

I purchased shocks in the hood along with a fiberglass hood for my 1971 bronco. The problem im having is the hood in flexing when it is closed. The struts are pushing up on it. I dont know if it is a deluxe fiberglass or regular fiberglass hood. I purchased these about four years ago and its been this way since new. Are the steel hood struts weaker than the fiberglass ones? Do you sell a weaker strut? View answer
