can this tank be used with a carburetor with the in tank fuel pump? I have intentions of doing efi, just not immediately. Or would i be better with the non in tank pump version until i do efi?

Not normally, but, you may be able to add a pressure reducing valve and return line setup and accomplish that. The EFI pump is capable of 90 - 110 psi. Most 4 barrel carbs only require 4-7 psi. You will be moving way more fuel than you will need, and have to find a Pressure reducing valve to do it. Or find a low pressure equivalent. Depending on your EFI choice, you may need a PRV eventually anyway. Or, get the tank for carb, and get the pump kit when you need it, #9667.
