We normally reference the specific gears data. US Gear gears are developed to be run at .008 to .012 backlash for street gear sets. So, .010 to .012 seems to be a happy medium, or safe target.
What backlash do yall recommend for this gear set? Ive seen non-oem recommended at .006-.012 and oem at .010-.016. Since mine came factory with 4.11s, is this considered an oem set or do I use the non-oem spec? WH Black Label - Ford 9-inch 4.11 Ratio Ring & Pinion Gears
