It could be the rod is bent or damaged or could be worn clips. You may inspect the rod and clips to find or figure out the fault.
My latch keeps gets stuck in lock position. I replaced the latch but still have same problem. It pulls up but not all the way and I have to push the little toggle on the bottom of the latch to get it to come all the way up and unlock. Do you think it's just this rod that needs replaced?
