From the top of the cap, to the mounting surface, deck is about 8. Your plug wires will add a little to that. Overall length cap to shaft tip, is about 13. The distributor comes with a hardened steel gear.
I'm having hood clearance issues, what is the height overall of this distributor and does it come with iron or steel gear? Seems there is confusion between what is listed here and what the manufacture suggests. PerTronix Billet Distributor | SBF 289 302 351W
